Board authorizes Engineer to sign Verizon Connect service orders for vehicle tracking subscriptions

The Board authorized the Clermont County Engineer or his designee to execute Service Order Forms with Verizon Connect for Vehicle Tracking, PTO/Digital Input, Driver ID, Engine Connect, Driving Style and 30 Second Plotting subscriptions. The subscriptions are to be funded from Motor Vehicle Gas (MVG) Tax funds with an initial 12-month term and automatic one-month renewals until written notice of termination is provided.
The authorization included a requirement for prior consent from the Clermont County Prosecuting Attorney for each service order form. The motion passed on a unanimous roll call vote. The approval allows the Engineer’s Office to begin subscription services for fleet tracking and related telematics features.
