Commission briefed on state bills and 2025 annual report; EDA housing subcommittee to resume

The commission accepted edits to its 2025 annual report and learned the Economic Development Authority’s Housing Subcommittee will resume in March and requests a Planning Commission representative.
At the Feb. 10 meeting staff distributed an updated summary of House bills that may affect Page County planning and asked commissioners to review the documents and be prepared to discuss them at the next meeting. Chairman Jared Burner requested commissioners to review the materials prior to the next meeting so the commission could discuss potential impacts.
Mr. Hahn also reviewed the draft 2025 annual report and said edits had been made in response to prior comments; no further changes were recommended at the meeting. Mr. Hahn noted that the Economic Development Authority will resume its Housing Subcommittee in March and asked the Planning Commission to consider who should represent or attend that subcommittee. No votes were taken on a designee at this meeting.
