Resident urges county aid for widespread tree damage in Zealand/Wackazoo areas

Chair (speaker 3) thanked Clare for coming and acknowledged the emotional toll on residents. Commissioners said they would continue to coordinate with Park Township and emergency-management staff about debris staging and whether county assets could be deployed to assist beyond private insurance coverage.
The board did not approve emergency county expenditure during the meeting but discussed next steps including prioritization of life-safety work, continued outreach with the Red Cross and identifying debris staging sites.
The resident's public comments underscored a recurring complaint from multiple speakers: heavy tree loss in private yards and common areas, uncertainty about who bears removal costs, and requests for clearer timelines for county or township assistance.
