Planning panel backs Ski Town Venture parcel consolidation to resolve encroachment

The Huntsville Planning Commission recommended approval on Jan. 15 of a parcel consolidation petition submitted by Ski Town Venture LLC to combine three adjoining parcels (24-011-0045, 24-011-0043 and 24-011-0041).
Applicants Jeff and Dakota Hyde were present and described the parcels to the commission; they said consolidation would allow on-site buildings to avoid an existing encroachment issue. The parcels are C-1 zoned and the consolidation request followed the town’s application checklist, including owner signatures and a site drawing.
PCM Poulter moved to recommend approval and PCM Larsen seconded; the roll-call vote was unanimous. The commission’s recommendation will be forwarded to the Town Council for final action per the town’s parcel-consolidation procedures. The application packet included the applicant contact (Jeff P. Hyde) and property details required for recording with the county if approved.
