Town moves forward on municipal code recodification; tables RC zoning changes pending development agreement

Town staff presented a recodification plan for Title 1 of the Huntsville Municipal Code. Beckki Endicott said she had "removed 28 pages of definitions" that were unnecessary or misplaced and proposed moving the constitutional-taking provisions into Title 1 while renumbering other sections for clarity. She asked council members to review the draft and provide feedback.
Separately, Mayor Sorensen explained the council was awaiting a development agreement from Powder Mountain before deciding on Ordinance 2025-7-23 (RC zone). He motioned to table the RC-zoning ordinance pending receipt of that development agreement; the council approved the motion.
