The board approved a motion to designate up to $3,000 in LOSST funds for a Veterans Affairs guest speaker, Chickie Donohue, at an event planned for Oct. 28. The motion passed by roll call with supervisors Tim Schumacher, Todd Glasnapp, John Pluth, Jeff Quastad and Lisa Hansen recorded as aye.
Emmet County employee Casee Ross asked supervisors to volunteer at the event, which is scheduled Oct. 28 from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the Elks. The board recorded the vote and allocated the funding authorization for event expenses.
