At the start of the Dec. 11 meeting Shannon Smith, Huntsville Town Clerk, administered the oath of office to Brent Ahlstrom, who was sworn in as an alternate Planning Commissioner.
The clerk recited the standard oath, which the attestation records as: “I do solemnly affirm that I will support, obey and defend the Constitution of the United States and the constitution of this State, and that I will discharge the duties of my Office with fidelity.” The oath was entered into the meeting record and the clerk attested to the administration. After being sworn in Ahlstrom participated in commission business and voted on the land‑use permit later on the agenda.
