Following discussion, the Court authorized the County Engineer to publish notice and set a public hearing; the Court scheduled the hearing for Aug. 18, 2026 at 9:00 a.m. in Commissioners' Courtroom. Commissioner Wilson moved to set the hearing and the motion passed by majority vote. The petition packet was filed with the Clerk and includes signed property-owner petitions and a statement that improvements and the method of payment (up-front payment or legally authorized mechanism) are conditions for acceptance.
