The Court approved a series of technology purchases and renewals for county systems. The purchases included a Solid IT Networks quote for backup power supplies and UPS equipment for county network switches (maximum cost $83,344.30) and authorization of related capital outlay budget amendments. The Court also approved a Cloudflare remote-access purchase to provide 25 licenses for remote access by Highway 6 jail medical staff (license fee $1,604.95 annually).
Separately, the Court approved renewal of ManageEngine service-desk subscriptions via SHI Government Solutions covering multiple portals (IT Help Desk, Facilities, Jail Facilities and Equipment) at a one-year cost of $34,453.34; purchases were noted as included in departmental budgets. The items were moved and approved by unanimous votes.
County IT Director John C. Carter prepared the procurement items and told the Court the Cloudflare licenses were needed for remote medical staff connectivity at the jail; the Solid IT purchase was described as necessary to bring dark-fiber network resiliency live by the end of September. The Court approved the purchases and directed staff to complete procurement steps.
