McLennan County begins FY27 budget work sessions as nonprofits and city agencies seek funding

Later sessions included the Greater Waco Chamber (Kris Collins), Creative Waco (John Kinnaird) and Prosper Waco (Jessica Attas), as well as the Greater Waco Sports Commission and representatives from animal services and cultural organizations.
The sessions were informational: the Court did not adopt final allocations during these hearings but recorded presentations for budget planning. The docket shows multiple recesses and a reconvening on July 1, reflecting the Court's plan to continue deliberations: Judge Scott M. Felton recessed the June 30 meeting at 10:41 a.m. and reconvened at 1:30 p.m. that day and again at 1:30 p.m. on July 1. The Court did not take final votes on FY27 outside-entity allocations during the sessions covered by the transcript; those decisions will be reflected in later budget actions.
