Salem Township supervisors approved routine expenditures totaling $136,064.22 for the month, covering the General Fund, payroll, liquid fuels and other funds, and authorized several capital and operating purchases during the April 16 meeting.
The board approved the purchase of two 2025 Ford F-600 dump trucks at a listed price of $59,809 each from Tri-Star under Costars Contract No. 025-E22-550, with upfitting costs to be approved later. Supervisor Bob Zundel said an upfitting quote was not yet received but expected to be similar to prior upfitting costs (historically around $45,000).
In finance items, the board also approved switching to QuickBooks Enterprise at an annual cost of $1,768 (noting the township previously paid $2,397/year for QuickBooks Desktop Pro). The board voted unanimously on all these measures.
