The board unanimously approved advertising the 2025 Clean Up Day for Saturday, May 17, 2025, from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Supervisors also approved sending a letter to the Diocese of Greensburg Police Department to permit a pilgrimage traversing Salem Township roads on April 12, 2025. The motions were recorded as unanimous.
Park and traffic items were discussed in committee reports: Ken Trumbetta said he spoke with Job Corps and the ballfield site will be GPS'd at an estimated cost of about $750. Bob Zundel announced the township was awarded a $64,000 LSA category grant for a park maintenance shed. Regarding a complaint about the Rt 22/819 signal, Bronder Technical observed traffic and confirmed the signal is functioning; Ken said Bronder recommended increasing the timing "from 4 seconds to 5 or 6" and the board said intersections will be updated this season with radar detection systems.
