The Salem Township Board of Supervisors approved routine business at its Feb. 19, 2025 meeting, including the minutes from Jan. 15 and monthly expenditures totaling $197,667.71 across General, Payroll, Sewage, Liquid Fuels, Street Lights, Machinery and Special Project funds. The motion to approve expenditures was made by Supervisor Ken Trumbetta and seconded by Supervisor Kerry Jobe; Supervisors Bob Zundel, Trumbetta and Jobe voted unanimously to pass the motion.
The Board also approved the Volunteer Fireman tax credit roster for Slickville and Forbes Road VFD and authorized a $2,000 reimbursement to the Recreation Board from Act 13 funds for a porta‑john. Several procedural or previously tabled personnel matters were either reaffirmed or tabled again, including another postponement of hiring a Road Crew employee. The Board set a public hearing for proposed SALDO amendments for March 20, 2025. The meeting adjourned at 8:23 p.m.; the next regular meeting is March 19, 2025 at 7:00 p.m.
