Emergency sewer leak at Cedar Park Homes displaces one household for two nights

Secretary Kaitlin Leary informed the board that an emergency sewer-line leak at Cedar Park Homes occurred on Jan. 13 and leaked into a building crawlspace. One tenant household required temporary placement in a hotel for two nights while repairs were made.
Leary relayed the incident as part of miscellaneous updates and said NorthWestern Energy will soon replace gas lines at Cedar Park Homes as part of planned utility work similar to prior improvements at Mount Haggin. The HUD Field Office also notified the Authority it had received a tenant complaint about HACA but indicated the matter was believed to be resolved for now; Leary cautioned Board members they might be contacted.
