Commissioners approved a one‑year recreational agreement with Baptist Health for fiscal year 2026 to continue weekly Zumba classes at Town Center. Holly Hicks, assistant director of Parks & Recreation, said Baptist Health has partnered with the city since 2018, reimbursing 80% of certified instructor costs (currently $80 of $100 per class), allowing the city to offer free classes to residents.
Hicks said the program encourages physical activity and is funded in FY26 through the parks contractual services account not to exceed $5,200 for the year. Commissioners praised turnout and community benefit; the item passed on a roll‑call vote without public comment.
