Florence County Council on June 18 approved the Accommodations Tax Advisory Committee's recommendation to allocate $225,000 in state accommodations tax funding for FY2026/27. The committee's recommendation reflects an increase of $110,000 compared with FY2025/26.
"The recommendation is an increase of $110,000.00 from FY2025/26," County Administrator Kevin Yokim told the council. Vice-Chairman Schofield moved approval and Councilman Dr. Alphonso Bradley seconded; the motion was approved by the members present. Allocations will be distributed to recipients as recommended by the advisory committee and funds will be released after Finance and the County Administrator confirm availability.
