Highway Foreman Trevor Dryden asked the board to limit truck RFP solicitations to a roughly 50‑mile radius instead of 100 miles to improve dealer serviceability. Coleman suggested narrowing the request to specific nearby dealer areas; Dryden mentioned Claremont, Rutland, Bennington and Brattleboro as preferred markets.
Town Administrator Lissa Stark asked that the RFP include the phrase "or equivalent" in the listed XLT package; the board approved the RFP with Stark's change and authorized Dryden to pursue dealer responses. The revised RFP is now live, and Dryden will begin the procurement process.
