The Martin City Council approved an agreement with engineering firm AE2S for a Drinking Water Facility Improvement Plan during its Nov. 12 meeting.
Jim Jones with AE2S reviewed several points of the contract during the council meeting. After discussion, the council voted to approve the agreement and directed Mayor Gary Rayhill to sign the contract on the city's behalf.
Councilors indicated the AE2S agreement will guide planning and design work for improvements to Martin's drinking-water facilities; details of the contract scope were discussed with the firm during the meeting.
