Select Board member Christie Boswell told the board there are 106 licensed short‑term rental properties and 49 applications pending. She asked that the town institute an annual renewal schedule (renewal fees would be half of initial licensing fees) and said the town attorney is reviewing the short‑term rental ordinance; any ordinance changes would require a 60‑day warning and an appeal process.
Boswell and others also raised gaps in 911 addressing on Piper Ridge, Intervale and Birch Hill properties, which the Fire Department has also identified as a problem for emergency response. Elizabeth Grant asked Town Administrator Lissa Stark to notify Scott Bushee so the board can discuss 911 numbering at the next meeting.
