Library reports heavy print circulation, plans to expand eMaterials spending

Library staff reported that circulation is still dominated by print items while the consortium is planning to increase spending on eMaterials to reduce hold times. The librarian said the goal is to have average wait time per title fall below two weeks after the consortium increases purchases.
"The goal is to have it so that the wait is less than 2 weeks," the librarian said. Staff noted that the cloud library figures were not included in the current report because those statistics are slower to be compiled. The board asked for comparative statistics from similar libraries, and staff said they will bring those figures to an upcoming meeting.
