Holdman Studios, donors outline $4M private push for Alpine sculpture garden

"We just finished the shooting of a video, which will be circulated in the coming days," said Bob Hanson of the Alpine Arts Center and Heritage Arts Foundation, describing donor gatherings and outreach planned to seed fundraising. A Holdman Studios representative (Tom Holdman) and a studio colleague discussed stained-glass elements and site ideas and said the concept is intended as an iconic, year-round civic art feature that ties to Alpine's history.
The team said plant lists and final landscaping quantities are pending but that the initiative is privately financed; Hanson estimated a fundraising target in the neighborhood of "somewhere still around 4,000,000" during the presentation. Council thanked the presenters and suggested coordination with the sculpture garden committee and the city's community-center spaces for possible temporary or permanent placement.
No formal council action was taken; presenters were invited to provide further materials and a campaign timeline for future council review.
