Council denied a proposed contractual agreement with Textron Financial Corporation and approved a set of procurement awards and professional-service agreements. Council authorized Davis & Floyd to provide right-of-way and design services for the Roughfork Street sidewalk project at a contract value of $264,100 to be funded from CPSTIII-A District 3 funds. The council also awarded the Florence Area Transportation Study (FLATS 2050 MTP) to Kimley-Horn and approved a historical-preservation RFQ to Liollio for the Browntown Cotton Gin assessment.
In public works procurement, Council awarded Bid No. 31-25/26 to Evans Pavement Services Inc. of Florence for Buddy's Lane full-depth asphalt patching and surface work in the amount of $29,670; the county staff recommended the lowest responsible, responsive bidder and noted bid expiration dates and contract-execution contingencies.
