Florence County Council approved Resolution No. 30 on April 16, authorizing incentive measures to support a company identified in the meeting as "Project Bubble." County staff said the project anticipates at least $38,925,000 in capital investment and the creation of about 108 new full‑time jobs.
County Administrator Kevin Yokim told Council that Project Bubble requested a fee‑in‑lieu‑of‑tax agreement and special source revenue credits. The county agreed to provide a cash grant of $250,000 for eligible infrastructure costs from Economic Development funds. The inducement resolution was moved and seconded and approved by members present; details of any negotiated fee‑in‑lieu agreement will be finalized in later contract documents.
