Select Board members heard that Town Hall renovation work required rework after poor-quality window installation and trim work. Al Bilka, serving as a consultant on the renovation, said the window installation, painting and trim work "had to be redone due to low quality work," and that Marvin and Walker Industries will provide warranties provided the windows are shimmed and installed correctly. The board agreed to hold the contractor check while the work is finished to standard.
Board member Elizabeth Grant emphasized that protective film on the glass needs to stay in place until project completion so the coatings aren’t damaged during finishing. Coleman said there is no fixed timeframe for final completion; siding is on site and primed and the front door has been ordered. The board thanked Bilka for his consulting work on the project.
