Elizabeth Grant told the Board that GovOS reports "around 200 listings in total right now," and that collected fines are being deposited into the STR reserve line (#32150). Boswell and Grant described field checks—drive‑by observations of occupancy patterns and searching online listings—to identify probable noncompliance.
Board members noted complications in investigations and the need to treat owners fairly; Grant said attorney fees related to enforcement are already budgeted and that the town maintains a reserve specifically for STR enforcement costs. The Board also discussed low visibility of reflective 911 address signs at some properties; Grant said more property owners are complying after reminder emails and suggested raising the issue at Town Meeting for broader awareness.
No new ordinance changes were adopted at the meeting; the Board will continue enforcement and follow up on noncompliant properties identified by staff.
