The Selectboard approved two homestead beautification bids at its April 15 meeting. Julie Isaacs presented bids for perennial plantings and seasonal maintenance: one contract for perennials and maintenance near the Rosenville and Manchester sign beds ($2,135) and a second contract for seasonal care of bridge plantings, Town Hall pots and watering ($10,486). Isaacs moved to approve both contracts and the motion passed unanimously.
The board noted that work will begin after the typical last frost date of June 15. The bids exclude plantings or maintenance for non-profits (the Library, Community Center and Fire House). The board directed staff to execute contracts and confirm maintenance schedules with the vendors.
