Treasurer reports tax-sale update; reappraisal could delay July bills

Treasurer Deb Avison told the Selectboard that a planned tax sale scheduled for April 29 at 10:30 AM initially listed five properties but was down to two after owners settled outstanding amounts. Avison said five properties remain on the delinquent-tax list and noted May 14 will mark one year for some accounts.
Avison warned the board that town reappraisals and expected property-value grievances could delay mailing of July tax bills. She said the NEMRC document related to reappraisals should be available around May 18 and reviewed the updated Reserve Funds sheet (Exhibit B) distributed at the meeting. Board members discussed the BCA appeal process and previous grievance volumes.
