At the April 8 meeting the CRA's executive director gave brief operational and capital updates.
Cal reported Chevy Chase Plaza work is underway: column repairs are complete, parking-lot repairs have started pending weather, and painting and sidewalk work will follow. He said Margate Boulevard improvements remain an active construction zone and noted the contractor must deliver a final cleaned and landscaped median and outskirt areas at project completion. Cal added the utility undergrounding project on State Road 7 is moving forward and bid-ready documents are expected within the next month; staff are also negotiating with a vendor on drainage and water-retention details for the sports complex turf-field contract. "Chevy Chase Plaza improvements are moving along... Parking lot, repairs have started, pending weather," Cal said.
