At the March 4 meeting the commission recognized long-serving municipal employees for milestone years of service. The city read the names and service lengths for three employees and thanked them for sustained contributions to public safety and public works.
The ceremony recognized Kelly Kendibovich (30 years with the police department), Kevin Connolly (20 years with the police department), and Eduardo Morales (20 years with public works/stormwater). The mayor noted that long tenure underscores positive workplace conditions and the value of institutional knowledge.
The recognition was ceremonial and closed the first portion of the meeting before a brief recess for photos and to reconvene at about 7:25 p.m.
