City reports progress on short-term rental compliance; 24 active rentals and HOT tax collection confirmed

Council members asked whether active and pending rentals were remitting hotel occupancy (HOT) taxes; McDonald confirmed they are. The mayor said the ordinance appears to have addressed many neighborhood concerns and that the city is gathering HOT funds that are restricted to specific allowable uses.
