Superintendent Roper presented proposed bylaw amendments from the Oakland County School Boards Association (OCSBA) and a proposed OCSBA resolution opposing any requirement that districts waive attorney‑client privilege to receive school funding. The board agreed to review the proposals and scheduled formal action on the resolution for the June 15 meeting.
Separately, the board moved to designate Mr. Deahl as its representative and Mrs. Jackson as alternate to serve on the 2026 electoral body for the Oakland Schools Intermediate School District Board election, and directed its representative to vote for candidate Gary Hauff on at least the first ballot at the June 1, 2026 election. The motion by Mrs. Jackson, supported by Mrs. Blair, passed on a 7‑0 roll call.
