Commissioner Holt explained the office previously had two full-time staff and one part-time, which consolidated to a single person over 2.5 years. He said that person had been filling in while on maternity leave and “the person we've had filling in has really done an exceptional job,” supporting the decision to move that employee into a field operator role and hire an assistant office manager to handle office duties.
The court approved a budget transfer of $52,000 from an operating line and $11,768 from part-time to the office manager line to cover the salary; Commissioner Holt moved the measure and Commissioner Hale seconded it. The motion carried 4–0.
