Commission extends $2.8 million collector‑road funding to Game, Fish & Parks for FY2027

Secretary Joel Jundt introduced Kevin Robling of the Department of Game, Fish & Parks (GFP), who with Adam Kulesa described how GFP used FY2026 state highway funds and presented a list of priority FY2027 projects. The agencies’ MOU has provided state highway funding to GFP since FY2021, when the Commission increased the annual amount from $500,000 to $2.8 million; GFP asked the Commission to extend the agreement for one more year at $2.8 million.
Commissioner Vallery moved and Commissioner Roby seconded approval to amend and extend the current agreement, and the Commission approved the motion by roll call. Department staff noted GFP’s scope is collector-road maintenance and that GFP had provided project justification and a priority list for the requested funds.
