Transportation Commission approves four construction contracts totaling about $3.77 million

Weisgram listed four bids: a Miner County structure and approach-grading contract awarded to Lehtola Builders, Inc. for $544,784.47; a Stanley County structure and grading award to BX Civil & Construction, Inc. for $714,455.00; multiple polymer chip-seal, guardrail and pavement projects across Charles Mix, Hanson and Hutchinson counties awarded to BX Civil & Construction, Inc. for $2,152,596.70; and centerline rumble stripe work in seven counties in the Rapid City region awarded to Surface Preparation Technologies, LLC for $359,809.00. The combined total of the four awards is $3,771,645.17.
Commissioner Mike Vehle moved to approve bids #1–4 and Commissioner Ron Rosenboom seconded. "All present voted aye by roll call vote," the commission recorded; the motion carried. The contracts authorize work on specified county roads and highway segments as listed in the bid report provided to the Commission.
