Court approves ending Westlaw contract for law library at year's end

A staff speaker explained Weatherford Library no longer houses the books or the computer terminal used for legal research, and that internal staff (Lava, Deagle and Sharina named in discussion) had agreed to house an electronic terminal only. The speaker said "we are able or able or court approves termination of the contract" and noted the contract runs through the end of the year and the county will remain responsible for costs until that point. The motion carried 4-0.
Court members thanked staff for managing the transition; staff said periodicals and updates will continue through the contract's end date.
