The court approved a series of parcel market studies and initial-offer preparations for property acquisitions supporting the East Bankhead Highway widening project. Multiple parcels across Alito and Lido (including 17 Vernon Road, 10333 East Bankhead Highway, 1015 Champions Drive and several others) were presented for market study approval and initial-offer preparation tied to the widening between South Ranch House Road and FM 1187.
A commissioner moved to approve each parcel market study and the court recorded unanimous votes on each item. Following the executive session, the court also approved the Parcel 3 appraisal and final offer preparations for imminent eminent-domain acquisition at 613 North Oak Ridge to support Oak Ridge Road reconstruction from US 180 North to Mary Martin Elementary School.
Staff said the market studies will be used to prepare initial offers as right-of-way acquisition proceeds for the county's road projects.
