The court established and appointed members to a committee to address jail-planning needs and additional jail bed space, a follow-up to recent discussions about correctional capacity. The recommended members included the sheriff, Chief Arnett, Ron King, Commissioner Walden and John Forrest to work with consultant HDR.
"This is, this is as a result of our last, 2 court sessions. And with the addition of the jail planning and that needs, we feel it's important to establish a committee for to work with HDR," a commissioner said. The motion to establish the committee and appoint members carried 5–0.
