Town Manager: tax bills mailed; town won’t receive a new election tabulator for November

Town Manager Sara J. Liscomb reported that tax bills have been mailed and that because the Secretary of State did not go out to bid for new tabulator machines this year, Winter Harbor will not receive a new tabulator for the November election.
Town Manager Sara J. Liscomb told the Selectmen that tax bills have been mailed and provided administrative updates at the Sept. 8 meeting. She also said that while updating the personnel policy the staff skipped a section that will be placed on a future agenda for correction.
Liscomb reported that the Secretary of State has for the third year in a row not gone out to bid for the new tabulator machines; as a result, Winter Harbor will not be receiving a new tabulator for the November election, according to the minutes. The minutes do not record further discussion or a motion on elections equipment at this meeting.
