Joint Brookings planning commissions approve past minutes and adjourn after brief Feb. 3 session

The Brookings County Planning & Zoning Commission and the City of Brookings Planning Commission convened jointly on Feb. 3, 2026. The County commission moved (Trooien/Paulson) and the City commission moved (Schmeichel/Aiken) to approve the joint minutes from Aug. 5, 2025; both motions carried with all present voting aye. The Feb. 3 agenda was similarly approved by both commissions.
Acting Chair Darrel Kleinjan and City Chair Jacob Limmer presided over the meeting; the meeting was called to order at 7:02 PM and adjourned at 7:09 PM. The minutes show no conflicts of interest, no additions to the agenda, and no members scheduled to address the commissions for items not listed on the agenda.
