Bristow council directs staff to inventory city property ahead of possible surplus sale

City Clerk Sabrina Mounce told the council March 3 that staff are preparing a detailed list and map of city property and will coordinate with the Creek County Clerk to verify deeds before returning to council with a proposal to declare surplus parcels and hold an auction. "Once they get the list together, they will get with the Creek County Clerk’s office and make sure the deed is clean and will bring back the list to the Council for their approval to declare surplus and have an auction to sale," the minutes state.
After the presentation, the council approved moving forward with collecting all information on city property so parcels could be evaluated for sale. The motion was made by Judd Johns and seconded by Joe Church and passed on a unanimous roll-call vote. The minutes do not list a timeframe for completion or which parcels are under consideration.
