Council approves lot split at 1001 S. Chestnut for new house

The Bristow City Council approved a Planning & Zoning Board recommendation on Feb. 3 to allow a lot split at 1001 S. Chestnut that will enable construction of a second house on the parcel.
Applicant Pecos McNiel told council members he plans for the new house to face Grant Street with driveway access from Grant; he noted a deep drainage ditch on the lot and said he will install a large tinhorn and work with the City Inspector to provide access. Councilmember Judd Johns asked about drainage concerns; after discussion the council voted to approve the split on roll call.
