Commissioners discussed that the funds come from special preservation/archive fees associated with recorded documents; staff confirmed those fees legally support records-archive projects and cannot be used to supplant general operating costs.
A commissioner asked when veterans could expect the DD214 card; the clerk said the go-live date is expected in April next year and she would reserve the first card issuance. The court approved the purchase and required final contract review by the county attorney before signature.
