Judge grants US Bank $5,111.26 against Bridal Davis; counterclaim dismissed

At the July 29 calendar, Katrice Helen presented the plaintiff's case for US Bank National Association in a debt-collection matter against Bridal Davis. Helen said the defendant was the direct debtor on an account ending in 6518 and that US Bank had an outstanding principal balance of $4,519.76. She told the court US Bank would also seek court costs ($241.50) and attorney's fees ($350.00).
"There is an outstanding balance of $4,519.76," Katrice Helen told the court as she outlined the account history and the lack of any substantive defenses in the defendant's answer. The defendant was not present. Judge Tammy Long Hayward granted the plaintiff's motion for summary judgment, dismissed the defendant's counterclaim for lack of prosecution, and instructed US Bank to present a proposed order to staff attorney Kiara Powell for signature. The court's ruling awards principal plus court costs and attorney fees totaling $5,111.26.
The court directed the plaintiff to submit the proposed order by email so the clerk could enter the judgment and close the case.
