Peter Williams summarized Preservation Inc.'s in-depth assessment of the cemetery's oldest section and outlined how prior town approvals funded most of that work. "The total cost was around $300,000," Williams said, and the commission previously sought and used a withdrawal to complete Preservation Inc.'s recommended work.
Pat Flynn reported the Cemetery Trust Fund balance as of June 30, 2026: "$133,104.45," she said, and reminded the commission that tapping principal requires placement on a town warrant and approval at town meeting. Commissioners said much of the Preservation Inc. work had been completed, some funds remained for additional projects, and the group will consider future withdrawals with warrant items and further proposals.
