Brenda Eberron Bonner was appointed chair of the Dinwiddie County Board of Supervisors at the board’s organizational meeting on Jan. 6, 2026. The resolution to appoint Bonner passed by roll call with four ayes and one abstention.
Dr. Moore nominated Bonner for the chairmanship, saying, “I’ll nominate Brenda Ebren Bonner to be chair for 2026 of the Dinwiddie County Board of Supervisors.” The appointment was presented as a formal resolution and approved after a roll-call vote in which the clerk recorded four ayes and one abstention.
Outgoing chair Daniel D. Lee received remarks thanking him for his service; county staff highlighted the board’s long-standing practice of rotating the chairmanship so multiple members gain experience in the role. The meeting proceeded immediately to nominations for vice chair following the chair appointment.
