Trustees adopt 2026 rate-and-fee schedule (Resolution 2026-04) effective June 1

The Summit County Service Area #3 Board of Trustees adopted Resolution 2026-04 on May 19 to approve changes to the district's 2026 rate-and-fee schedule.
Office Manager Jody Anagnos presented the proposed schedule, saying "There are just a few items that are proposed to change," and outlined that the packet included three new fees and several reductions to bring charges in line with actual costs. There was no public comment during the hearing. Trustee Scott Witkin moved to adopt the changes and Trustee Justin Shea seconded; the board approved the resolution by a unanimous vote (5–0).
The accompanying schedule lists a residential water system monthly base rate of $112 per ERU (includes 20,000 gallons) and tiered overage charges ranging from $0.01 to $0.10 per gallon at progressively higher tiers. Other items in the document include connection permits (residential $12,000; non-residential $20,000 plus meter costs), hydrant use deposits, conservation and violation penalties, and construction/transfer fees. The document attached to the minutes notes an effective date of 6.1.26.
Because the board adopted the resolution during an open meeting, staff will publish the adopted schedule per normal practice and begin billing under the new rates on the effective date.
