Douglas Nichols, former owner of Nichols Boat Repair, proposed a special use permit to operate a small retail boat repair service at 2885 Guyanoga Road in the Town of Jerusalem. Nichols told the board he has extensive experience in boat restoration and repair and that the new location would not be used for boat storage; boats would primarily be worked on and stored indoors.
Board members advised that any boats temporarily displayed or stored outdoors be kept behind the building to reduce visual impacts given the area’s traffic. The board voted that the referral had no significant countywide impact under GML 239.
