Emergency services report: BFO training, paramedic recertification, EMS call counts down

Emergency Services staff Brian Winslow and David Dowdle provided several operational updates to the Public Safety Committee. Winslow reported that BFO training started last week with 22 students (the State allowed a couple of extra participants beyond the usual maximum), and that someone from the NYCEMA board will present an accreditation plaque. He also noted an employee lost a house due to fire.
David Dowdle said he renewed his paramedic card, which is valid through 2030, and reported that calls across the county are down. Dowdle said the dropped-call report will be fixed to include January 2026. The committee accepted the Emergency Services report as information. YCEMS January call counts were recorded as Dundee 26, Keuka Park 14, Medic62/PSB 0, total 40.
