Arec Burton, Brown County Highway Superintendent, told the commissioners the Road & Bridge Capital Asset Valuation is finished and provided project updates. Bridge #112 on Mt. Moriah Road has a beam package ordered at a total cost of $23,945 and the rehabilitation is on schedule.
Burton said Bridge #81 on North Shore Drive can be removed and replaced with an arch culvert, but construction will require addressing a canal and a plan to dam water during work. Bridge #80 on Owl Creek Road requires a complete replacement and must be put out for formal bidding; preliminary quotes have been received. Burton also noted he will leave the highway department at the end of the month.
