Real Property office reports village tax paperwork, new veterans 100% disability exemption, and filing deadlines

Meghan Kincaid, on behalf of Real Property, updated the Finance Committee on several administrative matters, including village tax bills, a change to the veterans exemption, filing deadlines and parcel combination requests.
Kincaid said preliminary paperwork and totals for village tax bills have been sent to villages. She reported that a chapter amendment has been signed regarding the New Veterans 100% Disability Exemption, meaning the exemption is no longer a local option. She reminded the committee that exemption applications and taxable-status paperwork were due to town assessors on March 1.
Other routine items noted included Parcel Combination Request forms and that the Town of Italy appointed Thomas Raymond to the Board of Assessment Review. The Real Property report was accepted as information by the committee.
